Many of the photographs in our albums (or shoe-boxes!) will be of sentimental, or perhaps historical value, yet some may be faded or tattered, ripped or stained. Maybe just spoilt by a distracting background, blinking or 'red' eyes. Whatever the problem, virtually anything can be corrected or altered to your specification.
Backgrounds can be added or removed, as can someone or something - usually from another photograph. The entire process of Digital Imaging is non-destructive as it only involves scanning your prints or slides to the PC.
A very effective way of archiving and viewing images is to have then recorded onto CD-R. Anything from 1 to 1,000's can be put on a single disc, - this depends on the resolution at which they are scanned (which depends on the use to which they are to be put) as this affects the image file size.
